The design of the mural was greatly inspired by the organization and its mission statement: “Empowering young people to believe I can.” We chose to include the text “believe I can” as a way to encourage the students, and we also opted to depict the Infinity Wake building at the bottom as a way to create a sense of purpose and make the design specific to the school. The school mascot is a wolf, so we painted wolves howling in the background to add some school spirit! (Because the organization’s lease would not allow us to paint directly on the wall, we painted the mural on a large piece of plywood that was later mounted.)
